A healthcare organization in Haverfordwest seeks a full-time Band 3 Clinical Secretary. The role requires excellent secretarial skills, organizational capability, and communication proficiency. Candidates must be efficient and adaptable, with experience in Microsoft Office and a knowledge of medical terminology. The position supports a Urology team, offering a permanent, 37.5 hours per week contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Urology Team at Withybush General Hospital. Applications are invited from efficient and suitably qualified individuals for the post of a full time Band 3 Clinical Secretary within the Urology Team based at Withybush General Hospital on a permanent basis.
Working 37.5 hours per week, the successful candidate will be required to support the delivery of a comprehensive and quality secretarial service to the Consultants and their teams.
You will undertake a wide-range of duties including receipt and distribution of mail, audio transcription, and the typing of highly sensitive letters and reports, maintaining confidentiality at all times, in addition to operation of the Health Board's patient database system. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent organisation skills and be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work. You must be able to work on your initiative, use tact and diplomacy where appropriate and possess excellent communication skills.
Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and E-Mail, coupled with proven secretarial skills (including audio typing skills) and previous experience of medical terminology is essential.
