A specialist construction recruitment consultancy is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to manage commercial fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Senior Estimator or Project Manager, good technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills. This full-time role offers a salary range of £50,000 - £65,000 plus benefits including a pension and healthcare after 12 months.

- Pre-Construction Manager position dealing with a range of commercial and education fit out projects
- Manage early-stage input on specifications, compliance, and value engineering
- Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure accuracy and alignment
- Carrying out site visits where required to assess scopes of work and client requirements
- Prepare project programmes, methodology statements, and supporting documents
- Supporting the estimating team with accurate pricing of projects
- Oversee technical design reviews to ensure build ability, cost efficiency, and quality
- Working on projects ranging in value up to £1.5m
- Must have experience as a Senior Estimator, Pre Construction Manager or technically minded Project Manager within the fit out or related market sector such as: shopfitting, refurbishment, design & build, or FF&E
- Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
- Familiarity with JCT contract frameworks and commercial risk management
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Good team player who also works well individually
