About the Role:
- Deliver engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level.
- Develop lesson plans incorporating various musical styles, techniques, and technologies, including performance, composition, and music theory.
- Facilitate student-led performances, workshops, and concerts, encouraging creativity and collaboration.
- Assess student progress through performances, compositions, written analyses, and exams, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring alignment with current industry trends.
- Organize extracurricular activities like school bands, choirs, orchestras, and festivals.
- Collaborate with departments like Performing Arts and Technology for interdisciplinary projects.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a background in Music or related fields.
- Experience teaching Music at GCSE and A-Level, covering practical and theoretical aspects.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills.
- Passion for fostering creativity and confidence through music.
- Proficiency in musical instruments, music software, and recording tech.
