Job summary

A leading provider in tank services is seeking a DOT inspection certified mechanic for their Fife, WA location. The role requires 2+ years of repair experience with tank and/or trailer, offering a pay range of $28.00 to $34.00 per hour. Benefits include medical insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. The ideal candidate must demonstrate skills in diagnosing mechanical failures and making repairs, as well as pass physical demands including lifting and working in confined spaces.

Qualifications

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanics with 2+ years of tank and/or trailer repair experience for our Fife, WA location!

Address: 3443 20th Street E, Fife, WA. 98424

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay Range: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

(Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.)

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

  • The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
  • Tank service and repair
  • Trailer suspension installation and repair
  • Experience with air brake systems and repairs
  • TIG & MIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (preferred)
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
  • Background in confined space entry (preferred)
  • Must obtain a High School Diploma or GED

Physical Demands:

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
