The Role

As a Tendering Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our directors in the preparation of winning proposals across a range of business verticals. Drawing on your knowledge of PLC/SCADA control systems and tendering processes, you'll help deliver concise and professional proposals that align with our clients' needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Standard Documentation: Develop and maintain costing and proposal templates to streamline processes.
• Tendering Excellence:
  • Monitor tender portals for new opportunities and update the CRM system.
  • Lead the creation of tenders for minor projects, including costs, programs, and proposals.
  • Assist directors in crafting complex, high-value tender submissions.
• Collaborative Reporting: Produce monthly and annual sales reports, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
• Organised Administration: Handle client calls, manage sales documentation, and maintain sales materials such as case studies and testimonials.

What We're Looking For

• Educational Background: HNC (or higher) in a related engineering discipline (electrical/electronic/software).
• Experience: 1-3 years in a tendering role.
• Skills & Attributes:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Bonus Points: Experience addressing social value, sustainability, and governance in tender responses.
