• Our client is Top 20 UK Law Firm who seek to recuit a Senior Legal Counsel to join their General Counsel team in Birmingham. You will be advising on complex regulatory and legal issues, including SRA regulation, data protection and anti-money laundering, sanctions, and compliance obligations.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.
• Provide sound legal advice and guidance to various departments on commercial matters, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and resolve legal issues efficiently.
• Manage and mitigate legal risks by proactively identifying potential legal challenges.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and communicate their impact to the business.
• Work closely with external legal advisors when necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Contribute to developing and implementing legal strategies that support company growth and ethical standards.

• Qualified Solicitor with relevant legal experience, preferably in an in-house commercial legal counsel role.
• Strong experience and expertise in commercial contracts, negotiation, and contract management.
• Excellent knowledge of UK corporate, commercial, and contract law.
• Proven ability to work confidently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to explain complex legal matters clearly.
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Providing timely legal support and advice on commercial issues.
