A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will have expertise in contract review and compliance, along with over 5 years of experience in corporate law. Candidates must be legally qualified with a practising certificate and a strong ability to manage team members. Superior Recruitment are working with an Aberdeen based company who are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their business.
The client is an international service company providing critical services to the energy industry with business units in the UK, Norway, Canada, Trinidad, Australia and Senegal. We deliver a wide range of integrated solutions and specialist services across all areas of logistics, materials, marine and waste, making a material difference to our customers' operations.
Contract qualification and review is a key part of this role. The candidate should be able to demonstrate strong capability in this area, including knowledge of LOGIC type contracts. The role also involves supporting business units on legal and compliance matters; a working knowledge of GDPR, ABC, sanctions compliance and data protection would be an advantage. The role will support Group activities such as insurance renewals, M&A and financing exercises in conjunction with external advisers and will report to the Group General Counsel. This role may also involve managing other team members.
Candidates should be legally qualified and have a current practising certificate from the Law Society of Scotland or the Law Society of England and Wales and be at 5+ years PQE in a corporate or commercial environment, either in-house or in private practice.
