Why Mathys & Squire

We are a market leading intellectual property (IP) law firm, and for over 115 years we have been helping our clients protect, commercialise, and enforce their IP rights.

Working as a patent attorney, you will be advising clients from a vast range of technology areas and will be exposed to cutting edge innovation. Our rich and varied client base includes multinationals, SMEs, and startup companies working at the forefront of research and development.

We consider our team to be our most valuable asset as we attribute our success to the quality of our people. We are proud of our culture which celebrates openness, and diversity of people, opinion, and expertise. We are looking for people who embody these beliefs and are ready to embark on this journey with us.

Our graduates should expect to be involved in real work from day one and have access to an enviable training programme, including one to one feedback sessions, more formalised tutorials, and external courses to aid exam preparation. In addition, we have a dedicated team who are there to support your professional development and ensure you have the skills and depth of knowledge to become a successful and respected patent attorney.

We are looking for people with a curious mind, ambition and who are dedicated to delivering high quality results. You should enjoy the art of articulating complex matters in a clear and concise manner, have an eye for detail, and be inquisitive and passionate about technology.
