The Role

To assist the business with all aspects of legal and compliance matters affecting the Castore Group globally as well as assistance to Castores General Counsel.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, lead and review a broad spectrum of commercial agreements including sports marketing and partnership contracts, sales agreements, ambassador and influencer agreements, supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, IT agreements, marketing agreements, licensing agreements, agency and distribution agreements as well as general terms and conditions.
  • Provide advice on a wide range of legal topics including issues and opportunities relating to the above as well as employment law, intellectual property, consumer issues and real estate matters.
  • Advise the business on compliance related topics including competition law, data protection and internal codes and policies.
  • Deal with dispute resolution and other related litigation matters.
  • Help manage and protect Castores IP portfolio. Provide advice, sign off and clearance on IP related matters.
  • Advise and draft relevant competition terms and conditions and provide support for marketing activations
  • Manage relationships with external legal advisers and service suppliers.
  • Provide relevant and topical training sessions to all staff on relevant and key legal and compliance topics.
  • Report to the General Counsel
  • Maintain legal precedents and internal filing requirements
  • Undertake special business projects agreed with Castore General Counsel from time to time.

Skills & Experience
  • Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales. Other qualification jurisdictions considered.
  • Post qualification experience (preferably some gained in‑house).
  • Excellent drafting skills and business acumen. Highly commercially aware.
  • Intelligence and flexibility to manage a diverse range of matters and the ability to prioritise a complex workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable with risk ability to give pragmatic advice based on a risk based approach.
  • Ability to forge effective relationships.
  • Passion for sport.
