Solicitor – South Down

Location: King and Boyd Solicitors, 37 St Patricks Ave, Downpatrick BT30 6DW

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

We are a well-established and highly regarded practice in South Down, now seeking to appoint an experienced Solicitor to join our busy and growing general practice team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and capable solicitor to take on a broad caseload, work closely with a loyal client base, and contribute to the continued success of a respected local firm.

The successful candidate will:

• Manage a varied caseload across a range of practice areas, including property, private client, and civil matters.
• Handle transactions efficiently and effectively, ensuring a high standard of client service.
• Provide clear, practical, and solution-focused advice to clients.
• Play an active role in developing client relationships and contributing to the growth of the practice.

• A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Conveyancing experience is highly desirable and will be a distinct advantage.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
• A proactive and professional attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
