Job summary
A leading public sector recruitment agency is seeking a Governance Lawyer to join a large local authority on a remote basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide legal advice on governance assurance, risks, and support for senior leadership. Ideal candidates will have experience in corporate governance and the public sector. This position is a locum for a minimum of three months, contributing to an inclusive and accessible team.
Qualifications
- Experience working in corporate governance.
- Experience in the public sector or local authorities.
Responsibilities
- Advise on behalf of the Head of Legal, DMO, and Director of Law.
- Advise on governance assurance, legal risk, and compliance.
- Support senior leadership with legal strategy and risk mitigation.
