Junior Clinical Fellows IN VASCULAR SURGERY
6 month fixed Term Contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Clinical Fellow in Vascular Surgery at St George's Vascular Institute, St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holders will have nominated roles as part of the weekly rota, mainly covering ward duties and pre-op assessment clinics.
The successful applicants will be team players but also able to work independently. They will be confident and clear communicators, possessing excellent IT data management and verbal reasoning skills. We seek enthusiastic individuals who demonstrate excellent attention to detail, accuracy, experience in prioritising workloads, and support the current vascular surgical services for South-West London and surrounding areas as key members of our dynamic team. The post holders will contribute to the Vascular/Urology/General Surgery on-call rota.

The Vascular Surgery team at St George's Hospital wishes to appoint 2 Junior Clinical Fellows at trust doctor level to join the surgical team. These posts offer a valuable professional development platform, although they are not part of a formal training programme. The main responsibilities include caring for patients admitted for elective or emergency surgery, and participating in the Urology/General Surgery and Vascular Surgery on-call rota (category 1B, 40%).

The appointee will be responsible for patient care under the Vascular Surgery team, including administrative duties. They should be competent at the senior house officer level in general, urology, and vascular surgery. Responsibilities include ensuring health and safety, confidentiality, equal opportunities, maintaining relevant skills and registration, and complying with hospital policies. Duties may also include other tasks as required.
