Qualifications
  • Qualifications:
  • Primary Medical Qualification MRCP, MRCPCH by examination or equivalent
  • Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice. On the GMC specialist register or within 6 months of CCT or CESR
  • Valid BLS Training
  • Additional Qualifications:
  • DCH, MBA or other relevant diplomas
Experience
  • Community Paediatric Experience:
  • Minimum of 18 months in Community Paediatrics (during training or post-CCT experience). Relevant experience in Child Development / Neurodisability / Paediatric Neurology (minimum 6 months) may be considered as part of this requirement.
  • Experience in the management of children with complex health care needs, Neurodevelopmental assessments (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, global developmental delay, intellectual disability)
  • Experience in clinical examination and knowledge of physical abuse and neglect.
  • Specialist experience in IHA (Initial health assessment) for LAC (looked after children)
  • Understanding of managerial functions. Basic management training or experience. Possess leadership skills.
  • Mobility:
  • Car owner/driver or alternative transport arrangements to enable you to undertake the job. It is unlikely that public transport will meet this requirement. (Lease car scheme available).
  • Teaching Skills
  • Experience of teac
  • Specialist experience in Adoption and Fostering
  • Evidence of additional training in child protection i.e. attendance at specialised courses or clinical experience in this area
  • Personal experience of management duties eg: meetings / service design
  • Formal training in appraisal and assessment of junior medical staff
  • Peer review publications in past 5 years
  • Evidence of personal participation in audit.
