As a Teaching Assistant at The Wymering School, you’ll help students engage with their learning, support their emotional well‑being and build their confidence in school. You’ll be a key part of the classroom team and a steady presence during those inevitable ups and downs (because let’s face it, the classroom can be an emotional rollercoaster).

You’ll be the glue that holds things together – the calm in the storm – helping our students navigate their day without it ever feeling too overwhelming. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, we’d love to hear from you.

• Become the trusty sidekick every student needs – helping them stay focused, encouraging them to try again, or offering a reassuring, “You’ve got this.”
• Bring learning to life by helping tailor activities so they feel fun, accessible and meaningful for every student.
• Keep the school day running smoothly with your organisational wizardry (no actual magic required… but we won’t complain if you have some).
• Help create a classroom where students feel safe to be themselves – even on days when that self is a little wobbly.
• Team up with teachers and colleagues to make each day the best it can be. We really are better together.

• Someone who communicates with clarity, warmth and a positive, approachable manner.
• A reliable multitasker who can juggle several things at once – no circus skills needed, though bonus points if you can keep a straight face while doing it.
• Experience working with children is great, but kindness, empathy and a willingness to learn matter even more.
• A calm, steady presence who can navigate tricky moments and bounce back with resilience (and maybe a cup of tea).
• A champion for young people who brings patience, positivity and genuine enthusiasm to every day.
