Description du poste
Overview

Join us, be part of more. We're so much more than an energy company. We're a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers. One team of 21,000 colleagues that's energising a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn't rely on fossil fuels whilst living our powerful commitment to igniting positive change in our communities. Here, you can find more purpose, more passion, and more potential. That's why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently - we do it all. We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.

About your team: At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it. We've been powering the UK's homes and businesses for over 200 years - but supplying energy is just part of what we do. We're making the UK greener and more energy efficient, getting closer to Net Zero. By using clever tech like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels and EV chargers, we're making it cheaper and easier for our customers to reduce their carbon-footprint. We have a great opportunity to for a Product & Propositions Governance Business Partner to join our Customer Experience & Commercial (CX&C) Risk, Conduct & Governance team, where you'll play a key role in ensuring that British Gas Services & Solutions (BGS&S) delivers products, propositions, and services that not only meet the highest standards of customer value but also align with our regulatory and compliance commitments. Supporting the Product & Propositions Governance Manager, you'll collaborate closely with product development teams, commercial leads, and governance specialists-acting as a trusted business partner to help shape customer-focused, compliant offerings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone organised, proactive, and eager to grow their career in governance and risk. You'll be at the heart of our governance operations-driving processes, coordinating key meetings, preparing board-level packs, capturing minutes, and ensuring actions are tracked and delivered. Along the way, you'll build valuable expertise in regulatory frameworks and help strengthen our risk-aware culture across the business.

About the role
  • Support the day-to-day running of the Product Governance & Oversight framework within CX&C Risk, Conduct & Governance team.
  • Partner closely with Commercial and Product Teams to embed governance practices that support business growth and good customer outcomes.
  • Coordinate and control governance activity including scheduling, minute taking, issuing of packs and tracking of actions for the Product, Propositions & Services Committee and other governance forums as required.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Proposition Leads, Partnerships and Change Teams to ensure appropriate governance and compliance input during development, delivery and post implementation phases.
  • Help assess and support in the documenting of fair value, good customer outcomes and risk related matters across the product lifecycle.
  • Support delivery of training and awareness materials across the business on key product governance principles and obligations.
  • Collaborate with the wider Risk and Compliance community and act as a champion for good governance practice.
  • Maintain key governance records, logs and trackers to ensure visibility of status and for sound audit tracking purposes.
  • Contribute to the creation of MI and reporting dashboards to inform senior stakeholders.
  • Provide flexible support to the wider CX&C Risk, Conduct & Governance Team, stepping in to assist with activities as required and taking ownership for cross-team deliverables and activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, bringing fresh ideas to ensure governance, team efficiency and cross functional collaboration.
  • Take ownership of ad-hoc tasks and projects that align with team objectives and business strategy.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Organised, proactive and detail-focused with excellent coordination and control skills.
  • Good understanding of FCA regulatory requirements such as Consumer Duty, PROD4 and ICOBS.
  • Experience in governance, risk, compliance, or product oversight in a regulated environment (financial services or insurance preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities, diary coordination and document control.
  • Curious and eager to learn, with a collaborative mindset and willingness to support a wide range of governance activities.
  • Able to demonstrate ownership and accountability for tasks with good judgment in escalating issues when required.

There will be monthly travel included in this role to Windsor/London.
