Job summary

A UK water services company seeks a Finance Business Partner responsible for financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will produce monthly management accounts, manage cash controls, and support budgeting and forecasting. Responsibilities

Overview

Job purpose :

The Finance Business Partner (‘FBP’) will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis for the Smartawater business.

Responsibilities

• Production of monthly management accounts
• Interpretation of financial KPI’s and variances to the senior leadership team
• Control of cash, including the management of credit control resources
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Payroll oversight
• Liaison with stakeholders (lenders, bank, HMRC)

Skills and experience

• Excellent Microsoft 365 skills with emphasis on Excel modelling
• Strong communication skills
• Highly analytical
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with Xero accounting software an advantage

Qualifications

The role is suitable for a candidate actively studying for a recognised accounting qualification at the finalist level or having newly qualified.

Candidates studying with CIMA will be well-placed to flourish in this role.
