    Overview

    The role will report into the Head of Finance - Sky Bet and partner the Sky Bet Marketing Director and their respective teams for the Sky Bet business. It will be instrumental in improving contribution through cost analysis and control whilst supporting the business in finding opportunities to drive growth. The role also requires ownership of the Sky Bet People costs, working with the Head of Finance and Managing Director to ensure optimal business structure. The role will be based in Malta, working with the senior marketing team to drive growth & value whilst aiming for efficiency.

    What you’ll be doing
    • Key business partner to the Sky Bet Marketing Director and their respective teams.
    • Lead preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts for Sky Bet Marketing, both brand and acquisition.
    • Own the quarterly budget and forecasting cycle for the Marketing team, ensuring internal partners are fully engaged in P&L impact of assumptions and that targets are challenging but achievable.
    • Support the Marketing team to hit cost and new customer targets.
    • Identification and delivery of costs saving programme: finding opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency, includes working closely with the business and procurement teams on procurement projects as well as BAU cost control.
    • Provide finance support on key commercial negotiations for significant third-party Marketing suppliers.
    • Provide input to key commercial and analytical issues and decisions in relation to Marketing and wider Sky Bet business.
    • Deliver monthly performance reviews for the Marketing teams.
    • Support in the production & presentation of reasons for investment.
    • Working across brands & with the central costs team, help improve the understanding and measurement of return on investment for all Bet spend whilst making recommendations to improve overall ROI & efficiency.
    • Work with UK&I Marketing finance team to meet divisional goals and requirements.
    • Develop close relationships across the wider finance function.
    • Assist the Finance Manager in identifying risks and opportunities to Revenue based on marketing performance, whether it is brand or acquisition.
    • Provide Ad-hoc support to the wider finance team.
    What we’re looking for
    • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
    • Confirmed ability to partner cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
    • Regular travel to Malta.
    • Excellent communication skills — able to simplify complex financial concepts.
    • A naturally curious outlook, with the confidence to challenge and seek improvements; ideally with Six Sigma training.
    • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
