Overview

As the Activities & Wellbeing Co-Ordinator we care for our residents like they are family. Your day-to-day role will be varied, developing meaningful activities, delivering engaging sessions and supporting events and family interaction. You will be responsible for a programme of appropriate, therapeutic and recreational activities that enhance the lives of our residents. If you have previously delivered activities, we’d love to hear from you, but a passion for improving residents’ lives is equally welcome.

We are part of a family-run business within the Wood Care Group, and our Employees are important to us.

About You

Above all, we’re looking for kind and caring people who want a job where they can really make a difference to people’s lives. You’ll also need:

  • Good communication skills to communicate with residents, families and the management team.
  • Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
  • A committed and organised approach.
  • Flexible to work shifts (including weekends).

Other Duties
  • Attend Staff Meetings.
  • Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home and participate in appropriate training, encouraging and supporting staff in their development and training.
  • Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are understood and that adults are safeguarded in a way that recognises their choice and control. Adhere to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies at all times.
  • Provide evidence of any untaken training.
  • Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
  • Complete all training as determined by the home.
