Job summary
A health service provider in the City of London is seeking a Health Care Assistant to provide one-to-one personal care. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, medication reminders, and maintaining a clean environment. Essential qualifications include NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or progress towards it, along with a current DBS. Competitive hourly rates are offered for weekdays, weekends, and travel time.
Qualifications
- Qualifications in Health & Social Care are crucial.
- Experience in personal care settings is required.
- DBS check is necessary for the role.
Responsibilities
- Provide high standards of personal care to clients.
- Assist with medication reminders and administration.
- Carry out general domestic tasks and ensure client comfort.
Skills
£13.43/hr weekdays | £14.63/hr weekends | £26.86/hr bank holidays
£12.21/hr for travel time + £39/mile for mileage
Mon–Sun: 6am–9:15pm. Shift hours to be discussed at interview.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or working towards it.
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant.
- Current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one). Current DBS accepted.
- High standards of one-to-one personal care: bathing, dressing, feeding, and continuity of care.
- Maintaining continence / managing incontinence.
- Assistance with getting out of bed in the morning and into bed at night.
- Assistance with medication administration or timely reminders.
- General domestic tasks such as cleaning, bed making, laundry, and ironing.
- Other duties required.
