Job overview

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Housing Support Assistant across the Birmingham area.

Pay: £13.34 per hour. Hours: 37.5 hours per week and 22.5 hours per week available. Base location: Birmingham.

Role responsibilities
  • Providing onsite management and supervision of the supported housing service ensuring the delivery of an effective, enhanced housing management service.
  • Assisting with tenancy and voids management and maintaining occupancy levels.
  • Supporting and promoting compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers and internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Managing the procurement and availability of supplies, furniture, and equipment.
  • Recording and updating relevant data, maintaining effective filing systems.
  • Contributing to special projects and change programmes as appropriate.
Skills and experiences
  • Previous experience delivering tenancy services.
  • Experience working to deadlines and prioritising workload.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Literacy and numeracy to the equivalent of Grade C English and Maths GCSE.
  • NVQ2 or equivalent in relevant area.
  • Ability to extract and interrogate data.
  • Some experience in the use of housing management systems or similar is desirable.
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
