Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading UK-wide Fire and Security Systems company. The role focuses on service calls, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance of fire alarm systems across the company’s business contracts.

Job Overview

• Position: Field Service Engineer (Fire Alarm Systems)
• Location: Central London – Ideally located West London or South West London
• Salary: £39,000 per annum, plus call-out payments and overtime
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (approx. 1 in 4 weekend call-out rota)
• Type: Permanent (PAYE)

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake service calls and perform PPM and reactive maintenance on fire alarm systems.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and effectively diagnose faults.
• Complete all service documentation in line with BS5839 and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in fire alarm systems maintenance is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Good organisational skills, including time management and prioritisation.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the designated region.
• Applicants should reside within a reasonable driving distance of the coverage area.
