Job summary
A prominent food manufacturer in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced H&S/EHS/SHE Manager. The role includes ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, advising management on health and safety, and leading process improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years in management, preferably within food and drink manufacturing. This site-based position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development.
Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience at management level in H&S/EHS/SHE.
- Experience in food and drink manufacturing or FMCG.
Responsibilities
- Ensure standards, food safety, and quality are adhered to.
- Advise site management on H&S promotion.
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Lead continual improvement initiatives.
Skills
Education
Are you an experienced H&S/EHS/SHE Manager with over 5 years operating at management level? Ideal candidates will have food and drink manufacturing experience; FMCG can be considered. This is a site-based role with a multi-site employer.
- Ensure standards, food safety, and quality are adhered to and that the site complies with statutory requirements.
- Advise and work with the site management team to promote H&S across the site.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to health, safety, and environmental management.
- Lead on continual improvement initiatives, focusing on people development and process improvements.
- Management experience with a hands-on approach to people development and process improvement.
- NEBOSH qualification.
- Understanding of ISO-14001.
