Here at GXO, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the safety strategy at our Primark site in Lutterworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a fast‑paced, dynamic logistics environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the site is 100% safety compliant, leading the delivery of the site’s safety strategy and providing expert QHSE support to operational teams.

This is a full‑time, permanent position. You will be working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:30 till 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £48,000 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and standards
  • Lead the creation and execution of the annual site Safety, Health & Environmental Management Improvement Plan
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards, ensuring root causes are addressed and preventative actions are implemented
  • Managed site safety documentation, audits, and reporting, including insurance and legal compliance
  • Coordinate planned maintenance and ensure full understanding of fire, gas, electrical, and water systems

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Strong, proven experience in a QHSE role, ideally within a fast‑paced, complex environment
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety (essential)
  • Proven ability to lead change, manage policies, and deliver training
  • Analytical mindset with strong hazard‑spotting and problem‑solving skills
