A leading engineering firm in the North East of England is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. You will collaborate with engineering teams, mentor juniors, and lead analysis for complex design challenges. Ideal candidates will have a relevant engineering degree, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Python. Our client We are delighted to be working with a leading engineering firm, seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support projects at their large, well–established Engineering office and manufacturing facility in the North East of England.
- Collaborate with engineering and test teams to support product development and R&D.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead analysis activities across live projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Develop and refine analysis models and methodologies.
- Interpret simulation results and advise on design improvements.
- Engineering degree (BEng/MSc) and experience in modern manufacturing environments.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a customer–focused mindset.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python).
- Experience with a range of analysis methods and FEA tools.
