Maintenance Technician

Sedgefield - Spennymoor

Permanent – Full Time

Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week

Up to £29,598.16 per annum + Use of company van and fuel card

What we are looking for

Join our experienced team, carrying out a wide range of high-quality repairs across Livin’s domestic, communal, and commercial properties. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, primarily focusing on external works within the repairs team. However, you may also be required to support void properties depending on service demand.

We’re dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and cost efficiency. The role involves working in tenanted homes as well as communal and commercial spaces under the Livin contract, with tasks including groundworks and internal property repairs.

Role Responsibilities
  • Carry out high-standard general repairs across tenanted housing properties
  • Complete refurbishment activities in both residential and communal areas
  • Perform groundworks and internal property repairs as required
  • Ensure all work meets safety, quality and cost control standards
  • Deliver best-in-class customer service while working in occupied homes
  • Operate within the Livin contract across tenanted, commercial and communal spaces
  • Contribute to maintaining safe, well-presented and habitable living environments
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold professional standards and community impact
Key Criteria
  • Experience in the above responsibilities
  • Proven experience in general property repairs, refurbishment or maintenance
  • Ability to carry out groundworks and internal repairs to a high standard
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
  • Excellent customer service skills, especially when working in tenanted properties
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team across varied environments
  • Good organisational skills with a focus on quality and cost control
  • Comfortable working in both residential and communal areas under contract guidelines
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering practical solutions
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience in plastering, pointing, brick repairs
  • IT Literate
