Title: Applications Engineer – Power Group (Proposals Engineer)

Location: Just outside Stamford, Lincolnshire with easy access from A1 and free parking

Hours: 8:30 – 17:00 with a 1-hour lunch break

As an Applications Engineer, you will play a key role in our Power Group, focusing on:

• Technical Analysis: Interpret and assess customer enquiries to design and specify suitable equipment solutions, including valve sizing and process instrumentation like flow meters.
• Process Design: Engage in process design calculations, with training provided.
• Proposal Development: Craft competitive proposals, including technical and commercial details, to align with customer requirements.
• Customer Engagement: Maintain communication with customers during the quotation phase, addressing technical and commercial questions to secure orders.
• Post-Order Support: Collaborate with the project team, providing process data sheets and supporting documentation.
• Continuous Improvement: Enhance sales presentations and documentation, leveraging tools like MS Office.
• Quality and Safety: Adhere to Zeeco’s quality standards (ISO9001:2015, ISO14001, ISO45001) and foster a safe working environment.

• Educational Background: Degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical, or a related field).
• Industry Experience: 5+ years in sales/proposals or relevant industry experience; knowledge of fired combustion equipment or process engineering is an advantage.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication.
• Team Player: Works well within a collaborative team environment.
• Attention to Detail: Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Decision Making: Confident and assertive with the ability to make independent decisions.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to Travel: Open to occasional international travel as required.
