A healthcare trust in Bridlington is seeking a highly motivated Building Technician with a plumbing bias to join their maintenance team. You will support various engineering services across Trust facilities, participating in an on-call rota and contributing to improving quality and safety. Qualifications include relevant certifications in plumbing or engineering. This role offers access to NHS benefits and opportunities for personal and professional development.
The Estates Department are looking to recruit a highly motivated Building Technician, (Plumbing BIAS), to work as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team primarily within the Scarborough/Bridlington area. The department provides management, development, maintenance and operational support for the Trust's buildings and engineering infrastructure. The role is critical to the Estates Department's very busy maintenance support service, and is demanding covering a wide range of engineering services for you to hone your skills on. The role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning, and maintenance, of a range of engineering services in the Trust's clinical, and non-clinical facilities, within a very busy directorate, and to be part of a team that is constantly working to improve the quality and safety of the Trust's healthcare facilities.
The successful candidate will be based at Scarborough Hospital but must be willing to work at any of the Trust's sites. You must be flexible regarding hours of duty and will be expected to undertake appropriate training, including Health and Safety training.
The role requires working cooperatively as part of a team, comprising skilled and semi-skilled maintenance colleagues, and demonstrated experience of working within a maintenance environment. The candidate should be reliable, resilient, enthusiastic, motivated and able to work under pressure, with minimum supervision. The role also involves participating in an on-call/out of hours rota, for which an additional payment will be made. They must have the ability to transport themselves and equipment throughout the community over the course of a normal working day.
