An educational institution is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring English Teacher for a part-time role in Guildford. As a teacher, you will lead GCSE English Language classes and contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities. With a focus on uplifting students, the ideal candidate should possess strong communication abilities and related qualifications. Activate Learning are looking for enthusiastic and inspiring GCSE English teacher to join our team based at our Guildford College. You will be responsible for teaching learners studying GCSE English Language.
Additionally, you may also be asked to contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources for GCSE Language, Literature and A Level English. As well as participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and school events, and support extracurricular activities or clubs related to the subject area.
This is a permanent, part-time role (FTE 0.50) working 18.5 hours per week based at our Guildford College.
We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
Previous teaching experience in the FE sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
