Job summary
A leading education recruitment firm in Southwark is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with complex needs, including ASC, ADHD, and SEMH. Are you an experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a specialist school environment? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of complex needs in a Specialist SEN School in Southwark, with a strong focus on challenging behaviour and individualised support.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists and SEN specialists, supporting students on a 1:1 and small-group basis. You will play a key role in managing behaviour, implementing personalised support plans, and helping students remain calm, engaged and supported throughout the school day.
- Gain hands-on experience in a Specialist SEN School
- Immediate start available
- Work with students with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and complex learning needs
- Develop skills in behaviour support, de-escalation and communication strategies
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including SEN Teachers, Behaviour Leads and Therapists
- Has previous experience working in a school setting - essential
