Production Planning Manager
Job summary
A recruitment agency in the United Kingdom is seeking a Production Planning Manager to oversee the panel assembly production schedule. The role involves leading a team of 30 operatives, ensuring quality and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates should have substantial experience in production management, knowledge of electrical panel wiring, and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the panel assembly production schedule.
- Support the execution of delivery of the production plan/schedule.
- Conduct regular reviews logging actions through daily Production meetings.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
- Ownership of the production plan and its implementation.
- Conduct regular 1:1's with your team and support their needs.
- Investigate and rectify any staff performance issues.
- Ensure team members are adequately trained.
Skills
We are currently looking for a Production Planning Manager to join a client of ours based in Ponteland on a permanent basis.
The Production Planning Manager will receive a salary of around £45000 per annum. The hours of work are 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am - 1:30pm on a Friday.
Your main duties will include planning and managing the panel assembly production schedule. Assisting to improve and implement new manufacturing processes as well as managing a team of 30 manufacturing operatives and panel wirers.
- Delivering against stringent on time and in full targets (OTIF).
- Support the execution of delivery of the production plan/schedule, meeting quality and delivery expectations; ensure that best working practices are always maintained.
- Conduct regular reviews logging actions ensuring these are drawn to a successful closure through the daily Production meeting.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
- Ownership of the production plan and its implementation.
- Conduct regular 1:1's with your team and support their needs where required.
- Investigate and rectify any staff performance issues and work with HR to manage disciplinary issues.
- Ensure team members are adequately trained and provided with the correct tools to carry out the tasks.
