Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the panel assembly production schedule.
  • Support the execution of delivery of the production plan/schedule.
  • Conduct regular reviews logging actions through daily Production meetings.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
  • Ownership of the production plan and its implementation.
  • Conduct regular 1:1's with your team and support their needs.
  • Investigate and rectify any staff performance issues.
  • Ensure team members are adequately trained.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Production Planning Manager to join a client of ours based in Ponteland on a permanent basis.

The Production Planning Manager will receive a salary of around £45000 per annum. The hours of work are 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am - 1:30pm on a Friday.

Your main duties will include planning and managing the panel assembly production schedule. Assisting to improve and implement new manufacturing processes as well as managing a team of 30 manufacturing operatives and panel wirers.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Planning Manager:
  • Delivering against stringent on time and in full targets (OTIF).
  • Support the execution of delivery of the production plan/schedule, meeting quality and delivery expectations; ensure that best working practices are always maintained.
  • Conduct regular reviews logging actions ensuring these are drawn to a successful closure through the daily Production meeting.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
  • Ownership of the production plan and its implementation.
  • Conduct regular 1:1's with your team and support their needs where required.
  • Investigate and rectify any staff performance issues and work with HR to manage disciplinary issues.
  • Ensure team members are adequately trained and provided with the correct tools to carry out the tasks.
Experience/Qualifications of the Production Planning Manager:
