Job summary
A leading technology firm in Reading is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join their Application and Performance team. You will work on high performance computing (HPC), benchmarking, and AI applications. Responsibilities include analyzing client requirements, identifying optimal architectures, and tuning applications for performance. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Fortran is required, along with expertise in Linux environments. Qualifications
- Expertise in HPC and Linux environments.
- Proficient in programming languages C/C++, Fortran, Cuda, OpenAcc, MPI, OpenMP.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools and benchmark methods.
Responsibilities
- Analyze client needs and proposed applications.
- Identify optimal supercomputer architectures for applications.
- Extrapolate application performance on proposed technologies.
- Optimize software environments for scientific applications.
- Tune applications on targeted architectures.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Application Engineer to join a global leader of digital transformations. You will be working with the Application and Performance team and will be an expert in HPC, Benchmarking and AI Applications.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of the need and the applications proposed in the call for tenders by the client
- Search for the architecture (with existing or future technologies) of supercomputers best suited to the needs of our customers
- Forecast and/or Extrapolation of application performance on the proposed technologies
- Search for the optimal software environment for scientific applications (compilation, execution, placement of computational processes, tuning of linux, tuning of parallel libraries, etc.)
- Tuning of applications on targeted architectures
Experience Required:
- HPC and Linux environments: batch scheduler, parallel programming, parallel file systems, high performance interconnection networks, etc.
- programming languages C/C++ and Fortran, Cuda, OpenAcc, MPI, OpenMP.
- Knowledge of tools, benchmarks and methods related to the field of artificial intelligence
