The Role

As a Commercial Litigation Solicitor at Blackstone Solicitors, you will play a key role in managing and resolving a variety of commercial disputes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging and high-value cases while developing your expertise in a supportive and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contractual disputes, professional negligence claims, shareholder disputes, and debt recovery.
  • Advising clients on litigation strategy and risk management, providing clear and commercially sound legal advice.
  • Drafting legal documents, pleadings, witness statements, and preparing cases for trial.
  • Engaging in dispute resolution methods, including mediation, arbitration, and negotiation.
  • Conducting advocacy where appropriate and representing clients in court proceedings.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and expanding the firm’s commercial litigation practice.
  • Identify legal risks and advise clients on risk mitigation strategies, ensuring that all transactions comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with other teams in the firm, including real estate, corporate, and finance departments, to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery and effective communication, ensuring long-term client retention.
  • Adhering to the SLA terms within the provided time frame.
  • Handling multiple transactions simultaneously, ensuring that each is completed within the set deadline date in a professional manner.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise high volume caseload in a fast paced environment.
  • Prioritising urgent matters effectively while maintaining attention to details across all tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of multiple ongoing cases.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5+ years PQE in commercial litigation.
  • Strong technical expertise in commercial dispute resolution, with a solid understanding of litigation procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative legal strategies.
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple cases effectively, with great attention to detail and commercial awareness.
