Job summary
A consultancy firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a 6-month contract. This role involves ensuring effective governance, managing procurement, and leading a team in the water utilities sector. The ideal candidate must have expertise in infrastructure project delivery and complex project management. A competitive pay of £400 a day is offered, with a hybrid working arrangement based in Greater London.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager with experience in construction within the water utilities industry to join our team. Our Project Management Consultant will be part of a team responsible for achieving the overall budget and quality objectives of the project / programme of works. They will also ensure that the project schedule is established and maintained within prescribed schedule and budget parameters.
Key responsibilities :
- Ensuring effective project governance and assurance is in place using Assurance functions as appropriate
- Assignment of competent project team resources
- Leading and motivating a team of professionals, setting objectives and goals
- Procurement including negotiations with supply community
- Correctly capturing and maintaining compliance with the risk information in Programme Insight Manager
- Management of Risk and Change at project level
- Seeking approval of Change at project level
Required skills :
- Experience in an infrastructure programme and project delivery environment in the water utilities industry
- Experience of delivering complex individual or groups of projects
