Job summary
A leading food manufacturing company in Sherburn in Elmet is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor to conduct audits, manage quality incidents, and ensure compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a food manufacturing environment, strong administrative skills, and be proficient in Excel and Word. This role offers various benefits including a pension plan and a healthcare cash plan. Shifts are available across nights, afternoons, and days.

Responsibilities
- Conduct audits (PFS, Glass & Plastic, Cleaning Standards) and report findings promptly.
- Investigate Quality or Food Safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Manage calibration, micro testing schedules, and food safety checks.
- Deliver Critical Control Point (CCP) training.

- Conduct audits (PFS, Glass & Plastic, Cleaning Standards) and report findings promptly.
- Investigate Quality or Food Safety incidents, NCRs, and customer complaints; implement corrective actions using root cause analysis.
- Manage calibration, micro testing schedules, and food safety checks (ATP/allergen swabs).
- Support daily taste panels, technical tracker updates, and documentation for audits/complaints.
- Hold or repair out-of-spec products; sign off rework and raise waivers as needed.
- Ensure site calibration for scales and probes are completed.
- Testing and Inspection of Chocolate Tankers where required.
- Deliver Critical Control Point (CCP) training and act as Quality Champion across the site.
- Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Auditor in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of retailer standards.
- Auditor training.

- Strong administrative skills and use of Excel and Word.
- Strong communicator.
- Level 2 Food Safety.
- Level 2 HACCP.

Paid Breaks: 1 x 15 minutes and 1 x 30 minutes.
- Nights: Sunday: 18:00 - 06:00 / Monday - Thursday: 22:00 - 06:00.
- Afters: Monday - Thursday: 14:00 - 22:00.
- Days: Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:00 / Friday: 06:00 - 18:00.
