Dental Student Support and Development Coordinator - Remote

Job Purpose
To work closely with all dental learners and secure the absolute best outcomes while meeting NEBDN mandatory requirements. A core focus is onboarding and progression of all students across the faculty, working with senior management to align performance expectations, optimise the learner journey, reduce cancellations, accelerate completion times, and increase retention.
Job Overview
- Specify and implement learners’ segmentation and course progression according to NEBDN required timelines.
- Act as the first contact point for learners, dental practices, hospitals and groups.
- Support post‑enrolment compliance for dental nurses.
- Communicate learner progress with the Dental Faculty team.
- Collaborate with students to develop dental nursing skills.
- Validate documentation against the GDC framework and NEBDN Standards (SMA, CQC, GDC).
- Implement an appropriate reporting system.
- Manage learner eligibility, application forms and compliance checks.
- Maintain learning systems, cohorts and learner tracking.
- Manage the NEBDN hub and keep employer and patient engagement compliant.
- Conduct weekly job‑support sessions and onboard onto the 12‑week programme.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Liaise closely with senior management to design an improvement strategy aligned with GDC and NEBDN Standards for learner progression.
- Gather, analyse and present accurate student information, ensuring data requirements for SMA, CQC and GDC are met.
- Develop and implement a robust quality assurance system using data to analyze learner status and progression.
- Improve enrolment processes and learner onboarding.
- Monitor learner timelines post 12‑week programme or after employment.Implement mandatory communications with employers and patients.
- Create and deliver effective reporting on learner status.
- Contribute proactively to the Dental Faculty.
- Ensure HubSpot management and timely response to learner queries.
- Communicate the Dental Faculty vision and values compellingly.
- Empower staff and students to excel in work, study and achievement.
- Operate within GDC, NEBDN and GDPR requirements.
- Vigilantly ensure all students progress through learning programs.
- Build relationships with learners and employers.
- Assist new students with course onboarding to reduce cancellations.
Person Specification – Essential
- 5+ years in the dental field with a solid understanding of the industry, including GDC/CQC and NEBDN Standards, RQF, and current qualifications.
- Experience in remote working.
Qualifications
- NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing or equivalent.
- Current GDC registration.
