The UK Import Compliance & Logistics Co-Ordinator ensures that the Howmet Engineered Structures Business Unit (“HSS”) complies with UK and international import/export laws. The role involves classification, certification, and verification of import/export activities, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and the Global Director of Trade Compliance. The position collaborates with BU Trade Compliance, Corporate Compliance, and International Transportation to minimize risk and optimize import processes. HSS operates in North America and the UK.

• Assist with customs compliance for approximately $125 million in annual transactions under the guidance of the Global Director of Trade Compliance.
• Support the HSS Tamworth operation in import transactions, policies, and procedures, focusing on efficiency, waste reduction, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain a country-specific import matrix, including classifications, licenses, and restrictions; lead reclassification projects.
• Represent HSS Tamworth in dealings with customers, suppliers, government agencies, and internal teams regarding import shipments.
• Coordinate with Customs Brokers for clearance and conduct post-entry audits.
• Monitor import notifications, identify issues, and communicate delays.
• Review inbound documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure traceability of import documentation and update systems accordingly.
• Archive customs documents systematically.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
