Role Overview
We are looking for a Compliance and Sustainability Assistant to support the commitment to high standards through accurate data analysis, clear reporting, and a hands-on approach to compliance and sustainability.

This is a 12-month contract role, with strong potential to become permanent as the business continues to grow and evolve within a forward-thinking group of companies.

You will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, gathering essential compliance and sustainability data, and ensuring accurate reporting across internal systems and customer platforms. From food waste to carbon emissions, your work will support responsible sourcing and help drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Support compliance and sustainability initiatives by gathering and analysing data, and reporting across internal systems and customer platforms.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure alignment with compliance and sustainability standards.
  • Contribute to reporting on areas such as food waste and carbon emissions to drive responsible sourcing and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
  • A degree in Food Science, Environmental Science, Technical/Compliance, or Sustainability is advantageous, particularly for candidates seeking their first role in the industry.
  • Experience in the Fresh Produce or Fresh Food sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across the business and with growers and suppliers; a positive and proactive attitude is essential.
  • Highly organised, methodical, and numerate, with a collaborative and approachable mindset.
  • Demonstrated strength in data management, use of online platforms, and presenting data in a clear, professional manner.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is a plus.
Contract & Location
