A leading UK retailer is seeking a Regional Compliance Manager for Health & Safety. This role involves ensuring compliance across multiple retail locations, supporting teams with engagement and safety management. Candidates should have a NEBOSH diploma, auditing experience, and a solid understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation. We\'ve got a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Compliance Manager, Health & Safety (North West, Manchester & Cumbria) to join our field based retail team. For the right candidate we\'re offering a very competitive industry salary. You\'ll be travelling between our Retail stores in Manchester, up to Carlisle, across to Southport and everywhere in between. This role will play a pivotal role in upholding safety and legality and supporting our Supermarkets. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in Health & Safety, with an understanding of Food Safety and Trading Standards, supporting Retail Senior/Regional Management with overall responsibility for Safe & Legal, and ensuring the safety of customers and colleagues as well as the legality of our Brand.
A typical week in this role looks like: your home will be your base location but you\'ll spend most of your time supporting stores. Mondays are a big report & meeting day where you\'ll engage and deliver key updates. You will manage your own diary to ensure business critical activities are managed. The week will be driven by business needs and will include visiting 1-2 stores a day supporting improvement plans, attending meetings, building relationships, conducting audits, setting the Safe & Legal culture and upskilling/coaching colleagues & managers. Depending on location these may require overnight stays in hotels. As one of the Health & Safety experts in the team you\'ll support your peers in Food Safety & Trading Standards expertise.
