Well, if you do, read on.

Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of compliance and assurance best practice, recognised as an expert for the business in this area.
  • Own accountability for managing regulatory casework and consultations into and out of the business both directly and indirectly through key stakeholders. Ensuring responses are to professional, ethical and quality standards within required timescales, applying judgement to define the scope and testing approach to ensure key risks are addressed.
  • Provide governance and support across the business to drive right first-time activity. Develop the analysis and present this to the relevant stakeholders (up to and including Directors) to support a culture of front-line ownership.
  • Own the Group Compliance and Assurance programme of work, ensuring timely updates are provided in a cost-effective way for both internal team comm cells and wider business comm cells.
  • Deliver strategic audit and assurance activities to professional, ethical and quality standards within the allocated time, applying judgement to define the scope and testing approach to ensure key risks are addressed.
What you’ll bring to the role

Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.

We want people who show up and roll their sleeves up. Restless spirits who are ready to be part of something bigger, who care, who really care... because when you really care, you’ll go above and beyond. When you really care you don’t just talk about it, you do more.

We’ll be looking for you to ideally have a knowledge of water or utilities Regulations along with the ability to analyse data and then produce and present its findings.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.
