NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, with regional and national services extending our reach to 2.2 million.
We invite applications for a Consultant Paediatrician in Community Paediatrics within Specialist Children’s Services (SCS) NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, based in the Glasgow City area. Successful candidates will join multidisciplinary teams delivering neurodisability and neurodevelopmental services at dedicated child centres and in complex support needs schools. Experience in assessment and diagnosis of complex neurodisability, neurodevelopmental assessments including fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, and understanding of child protection issues are required. Opportunities for sub-specialty interests are available. The role includes SPA time, and the service offers an active CPD program. There are close links with the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, but no general paediatric out-of-hours commitments. SCS includes Community Paediatrics and CAMHS, with co-location in most centres.
Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of eligibility.
Contact details for the Recruitment Service are available in the Candidate Information Packs.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde promotes diversity and inclusion and encourages applications from all community sections. We are committed to being a Forces Friendly Employer, supporting applications from the Armed Forces community.
