This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse medical prescriber who is keen to support the ADHD branch of the neurodevelopmental team within the children and young person's service (ages 6-18 years).

The Neurodevelopmental Service opened its doors in 2022, and as a service, we are keen to use the latest research and guidance to provide a high-quality approach to supporting need, diagnostic assessments, and medication support.

The post holder will work closely with the ADHD Clinical Lead and general manager as the service continues to develop and evolve.

We welcome applications from Registered Learning Disability Nurses.

The role involves supporting the development of the ADHD branch of the service whilst facilitating ADHD diagnostic assessments, ADHD medication prescribing, and providing clinical guidance to young people and caregivers around meeting identified needs.

The role also involves utilizing leadership skills to support the transformation of the service and staff development.

• Registered Mental Health/ Paediatric/ Learning Disability Nurse
• Nurse Medical Prescriber (V300)
• ADOS or ADHD diagnostic assessment trained
• Attended a leadership course

• Experience of working with children/ young people, mental health or neurodevelopment for min. 3 years
• Experience of prescribing medication
• Experience of supervising and developing staff
• Evidence of leading on a project to improve a service
• Evidence of supporting people with complex presentations and formulating clear care plans of support
• Experience of facilitating diagnostic assessments for ADHD/ASD

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Salary: £55,877 to £62,626 a year incl. 5% Fringe HCAS, pa, pro rata.
