Job summary
A leading construction recruitment firm is seeking a Freelance Site Manager for a secure public sector project in Retford, England. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years' experience in construction, preferably in secure environments, and should possess EL1 clearance. The position offers a pay rate of £270-300 per day with ongoing/long-term duration. Weekly pay on Fridays is provided.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of previous experience in construction, preferably in a secure environment.
- Experience working on public sector, MoJ, prison, or secure environment projects is essential.
- UK driving licence is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee fitout of workshop area within a secure environment.
- Lead and manage construction activities to ensure project completion on time and budget.
- Co-ordinate and manage contracts and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with secure environment procedures and site access rules.
- Maintain daily records and progress reports.
- Liaise with client and project managers daily.

We are seeking experienced Freelance Site Managers for an upcoming secure public sector project in the Northwest. Candidates require EL1 clearance preferably but not essential.
Key Responsibilities of a Freelance Site Manager:
- Oversee fitout of workshop area within secure environment - EL1 clearance preferable.
- Lead and manage construction activities and ensure project is on time, on budget, and to specification.
- Co-ordinate and manage contracts and subcontractors.
- Ensure full compliance within secure environment procedures and site access rules.
- Maintain daily records, reports, and progress reports.
- Liaise with client, authorities, project managers on a daily basis.
- Monitor all HSE and maintain to the highest standard.
- Ensure quality checks are carried out.
Requirements for the Freelance Site Manager:
- Minimum 4 years previous experience in construction (secure environment preferred).
- Security clearance - EL1 preferrable.
- Experience working on public sector, MoJ, prison, or secure environment projects.
- UK driving licence is preferred.
- Weekly pay on a Friday
