• Create and lead a 3 year manufacturing strategy and long-term blow moulding strategy.
• Manage effective delivery of annual business plans through structured performance review process.
• Manage the operating budget for blow moulding, reducing waste and cost.
• Set and ensure the highest standards of safety performance.
• Manage operations in compliance with defined health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Maintain the value, legal compliance and safety of all company assets.
• Drive development and embed a performance management system.
• Actively identify and implement initiatives to increase supply chain efficiency.

Site Lead – Blow Moulding Manager

Location: Manchester | Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday

Key Tasks

• Prioritise culture and team development through effective communication, coaching and PDPs
• Champion and visibly uphold the Müller values
• Create and lead a 3 year manufacturing strategy and long term blow moulding strategy
• Manage effective delivery of annual business plans through structured performance review process
• Manage the operating budget for blow moulding, enabling opportunities to reduce waste and cost
• Set and ensure the highest standards of safety performance, developing a positive health and safety culture
• Manage operations in compliance with defined health and safety, environmental and quality standards
• Maintain the value, legal compliance and safety of all company assets within the operation
• Maintain and deliver defined projects ensuring operational excellence and effective business stakeholder management
• Drive development and embed a performance management system
• Lead, support and coordinate best practice forums across the function
• Support the head of blow moulding and planning function to develop technical and production capability
• Actively identify and implement initiatives to increase supply chain efficiency
• Manage multiple stakeholders across dairies, service functions and blow moulding
• Balance priorities against retailer requirements for innovation and plastics reduction

Skills and Experience Needed

• Dairy plastics technology knowledge (EBM essential, ISBM and IM desirable)
• CI/Operational Excellence Qualification (ie Green Belt)
• IOSH
• Dairy plastics operational experience
• NEBOSH
• In depth understanding of all procedures in a discipline
• Significant experience in leading and developing a team
