Assistant Psychologist à Italie

A Specialist School just outside of Reading is looking for a recent Psychology Graduate to join their support team and work with students coping with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This role is ideal for graduates aspiring to become trained Psychologists, with a genuine interest in supporting children with psychological needs.

The students come from diverse backgrounds and face challenges related to trauma, neglect, attachment issues, and anxiety. They require support to manage their emotions healthily, enabling them to regulate and process feelings and cope independently in the future. Therefore, resilience, supportiveness, and a passion for mental health are essential qualities.

1. Collaborate with class teachers and experienced staff to educate and support pupils.
2. Manage challenging behaviours and work on a one-to-one basis to keep students on task.
3. Identify potential triggers related to trauma and mental health needs.
4. Facilitate therapeutic techniques and employ restorative practices to promote mental well-being.
5. Work alongside Psychologists and Therapists at the school, gaining valuable experience.

The ideal Psychology Graduate will be proactive, friendly, and passionate about mental health. Previous experience working with children or adults with additional needs is beneficial.
