A local government service provider is seeking a dynamic Allocation and Verification Team Manager in London. In this role, you will oversee housing allocation and ensure compliance with housing policies. The ideal candidate has significant management experience in local authority settings, strong knowledge of relevant acts, and an enhanced DBS. This position offers a chance to lead a motivated team in a crucial service.
Qualifications
- Significant experience managing housing allocation or verification services within a local authority setting.
- Strong working knowledge of Part VI of the 1996 Housing Act.
- Experience handling medical assessments, exceptions, and special housing cases.
- Enhanced DBS is required.
Responsabilités
- Oversee the development, coordination, and management of the Allocation and Verification Service.
- Ensure optimal use of housing stock according to council policies and housing acts.
- Manage medical assessments and new housing initiatives.
- Lead a high-performing team within the housing department.
One of my local government clients is looking for a dynamic and experienced Allocation and Verification Team Manager (PO5) to manage a key service ensuring fair and effective access to housing across the borough.
- Oversee the development, coordination, and management of the Allocation and Verification Service
- Ensure optimal use of housing stock in line with Lambeth Council policies and Part VI of the 1996 Housing Act
- Manage medical assessments, new housing initiatives, and exceptions cases
- Lead a high-performing team within the housing department, ensuring compliance, quality, and performance targets are met
- Significant experience managing housing allocation or verification services within a local authority setting
- Strong working knowledge of Part VI of the 1996 Housing Act
- Experience handling medical assessments, exceptions, and special housing cases
- Enhanced DBS is required (ESSENTIAL)
