Job Description:
National Account Manager (DIY & Distribution) – Building Products
Area to be covered: National (2 days home based)
Benefits: £9,000 annual car allowance or company car & full benefits
The role of the National Account Manager – Wood Products will involve:
- Managing a high-quality range of engineered wood products as a National Account Controller
- Managing, developing, and mentoring one direct report
- Focusing on managing one of our clients’ largest spending DIY distribution accounts (B&Q)
- Supporting new product launches and development
- Implementing pricing strategies
- Coordinating with internal customer service, marketing, supply, and transport teams
- Being willing to travel nationally with regular visits to Southampton
Candidate Profile:
- Proven track record in sales and account management
- Experience managing large accounts in retail / DIY distribution sector
- Experience dealing directly with the Kingfisher Group (preferred)
- Experience selling timber / wood products (preferred but not essential)
- Commercially astute with the ability to create sustainable contractual agreements
