You will generally supports, in collaboration with the Senior Commercial & Contracts Counsel, the Legal & Compliance function at Group level with respect to commercial and contractual legal matters and is, in particular, in charge of the negotiation, follow-up and management of SCOR non-technical contracts (Group, EMEA and SDS B.U.).
You will report to the Deputy Group Chief Legal Counsel.
Alongside the Senior Commercial & Contracts Counsel, at Group and EMEA level, He / she :
- supports legal analysis and advice on general commercial & contract law matters;
- negotiate, follows-up and manages (incl. litigations) of Group and EMEA non-technical contracts (e.g.I.T. contracts, service agreements, intra-group arrangements…)
- ensures the compliance of external and intra-group arrangements with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies framework (Solvency II, DORA, Duty of Care, Ethical Chart, GDPR etc…)
- provides horizon scanning on the matters pertaining to its remit within the Legal& Compliance team
- provides legal support to the Group DPO with respect to Data Protection matters and formalisation thereof
- participates into the development of knowledge management / education (templates, trainings, guidelines) on the topics mentioned above
You will also participate in and generally supports, as needed, the broader subject matters addressed by Legal & Compliance team and, notably, as per :
- global structuring and reorganisation projects
- supports the Group Procurement, Group Governance Operations and Group IT Departments’ projects
- contractual support, as needed to SCOR Digital Solutions’ activities
- legal support to corporate secretariat in EMEA
You will works closely, when their involvement is required, with the legal teams based in SCOR Group foreign offices.
- Excellent in-depth knowledge of commercial laws, contract laws and procedures especially in IT and IP disciplines,
- About 3-5 years working experience in a legal role in reputable law firms or as in-house counsel, ideally in the bank / insurance industry, with focus on IT contracts and Data Protection
- Good knowledge of Corporate laws and Regulatory matters is a plus
- Experience in working in an international environment with a wide variety of stakeholders;
- Team player, with open, global mind-set and appetite for continuous learning and improvements
- Hands-on and can-do attitude
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English

Education
- Graduate (Master 2) in business or commercial law, DJCE or equivalent
- Additional qualifications such as CAPA or equivalent of advantage
