A leading media outlet is seeking a Head of Sales based in Paris to enhance its commercial operations. This role involves developing relationships with advertising companies, driving revenue generation, and exploring new business avenues. The ideal candidate will possess at least 10 years of media sales experience, be native French, and have a track record in growing revenues while leading a team. The company emphasizes independence of thought and innovation in the digital media landscape.
The role
Atlantico is looking for a Head of Sales who will build on the site's editorial reputation to expand its commercial operations. The position will encompass all aspects of revenue generation with an initial focus on developing direct relationships with advertising companies and agencies to sell display and branded content packages.
The successful candidate will work closely with the publication's founder and director Jean-Sebastien Ferjou to identify opportunities and propose creative solutions for clients that fit within the Atlantico philosophy. The role demands a hands-on approach to attracting and retaining clients but also includes oversight of relationships with commercial partners such as programmatic advertising providers and others. The Head of Sales will ultimately also be responsible for developing Atlantico's subscription business, with support from Jean-Sebastien and other colleagues. Other potential revenue streams such as events and bespoke services will also form part of the remit.
