Overview

We are seeking an innovative and skilled engineer to develop cutting-edge liquid crystal optical components for near-eye displays. As a Senior R&D Engineer, you will participate in all phases of product development from planning, design, to manufacturing. The main objective is to lead an R&D line to deliver a sub-component for the final product. You will work closely with the internal Manufacturing Team and external Industry Partners to achieve this goal.

• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Team and external Industry Partners to achieve development goals.

Qualifications

• Essential Skills: Design of liquid crystal optical elements
• Essential Skills: Simulations of optical performance of liquid crystal optical elements
• Essential Skills: Experimental testing of liquid crystal optical elements using commercial and simple custom optical setups (UV / VIS spectroscopy, image quality characterization)
• Essential Skills: Understanding of relationship between material properties and optical performance of liquid crystal optical elements
• Essential Skills: Hands-on experience with liquid crystal gratings
• Desirable Skills: Experience with conceptualization of patents
• Desirable Skills: Hands-on experience in working with alignment layers
• Desirable Skills: Knowledge of methods of manufacturing of liquid crystal optical elements
• Desirable Skills: Experience working with large manufacturers of liquid crystal optical elements
• Desirable Skills: Understanding the physics of light propagation through refractive and diffractive optics
